Day 3. B&W I’ve been meaning to put this up. Beware I have ALOT to say. Beautiful.
You have pretty, gorgeous, cute, and sexy. But none, NONE, obtain the equivalence that beautiful does. It is so peculiar how words have so much power..
Before I go any further let me just say this, excuse my foreshadow but keep your sympathy or whatever to yourselves. I know I am beautiful now and for the past years.
Honestly, growing up (and still growing) I’m not sure or even recall when or if my dad or brothers has ever told me I was beautiful.. I’ve heard “you look nice” or “you look pretty”, but it was always an occasion.
I believe every parent/guardian should be the first to express and instill in their children their inner and outer beauty. Specifically in the young women (no offense to the guys, lol.) A lot of us today yearn for someone else outside of home, usually a male, crush type..Especially when she witnesses it being done around her. And that’s where we take a plunge.. Certain things we didn’t get growing up is what we look for when we get older.
Love and affection. One should originally recieve at home, when they don’t, it’s searched for in a companion, sometimes recieving what they think it is for disrespect, abuse, and etc. First of all, love and affection shouldn’t be searched for, but rather expected. It should be something one is used to because they recieved it growing up. But back to beautiful. It’s all in you as well. Quit looking for someone else to tell you what you are.. They don’t nor should they control you and what/who you are, you do..
I’m not use to being called beautiful, pretty, cute, and all the above.
Yea, I’ve been told plenty times, but I never knew how to accept it. I can never let a compliment just be, which I’m working on. “Awe thanks”, or “I guess” are my usual responses, or I just avoid that part and speak on whatever else was stated.
I dated this guy and he would call me “Victoria the beautiful”. On some real, I loved it. I liked him, but loved that. Hoping the relationship would last, it didn’t. “Victoria the beautiful” and him was something I grew used to, and it just stopped. I felt like I wasn’t unless he was saying it. I went through phases but came to my final phase of realization, ” I know I’m beautiful with or without him.” In the mist of it all, I was looking for something I didn’t get much from my old man, when I should expect it, I deserve it.
I know I’ve said more than enough, just sharing what I learned in March.
All in all.
Daddies out there be the first guy in her life to tell her beauty, so she doesn’t look for it in the wrong person.
And honey girl, you are beautiful. Simple as that.
